AC24 | Session 05

"Effective Records Management is the Backbone of A Healthy and Robust FOIA Program: Understanding How the Two Intersect (Part 2 of 3)"

OVERVIEW: An effective records management program is key to the success of any organization - but more so to those tasked with responding to requests for information. In many agencies, records officers and Freedom of Information (FOIA) officers work together to ensure that both missions are working in tandem to best serve requesters. In this session, attendees will learn how the backbone of a healthy and robust FOIA program is a strong and effective records management program.

Attendees of this session will walk away with a greater understanding of the intersection between Records Management and the FOIA. Creating an understanding of the downstream ramification of Records Management - positive and negative.
