"Future-proofing Official Electronic Documents and Records: Establishing Digital Preservation Programs for Travis County Clerk’s Office"

 

OVERVIEW: Travis County Clerk’s Office faced a massive challenge with needing to move to a digital preservation system to protect their records against technology obsolescence and data corruption.  Since 2021, Travis County has relied on Preservica to help them manage their preservation of critical records previously stored on microfilm including real estate records, land and trust deeds, land ownership, probate, civil and misdemeanor court records.
