"Aligning Development and Implementation with RIM Requirements"

 

OVERVIEW: This session will provide attendees with an understanding of the responsibilities related to aligning systems development with your organization's records and information management (RIM) requirements.    

This Session Will Address:

  • RIM Team roles and functions
  • Development and implementation team composition, roles, and functions
  • High Level RIM requirements for systems and applications
  • Project and RIM Team responsibilities in various phases of the processes

The RIM Team is a critical partner and must understand and be involved in the development process from the earliest stages to ensure systems responsibly manage information asset across the information lifecycle.

This presentation is being offered as a case study in building and maintaining a sustainable and growing digital archiving solution.  While focused on a state government solution, the target audience is anyone wants to build or sustain a digital archive.

As more organizations are using agile methodology and similar techniques in the acquisition and development of systems and applications, records and information management professionals need to understand these methodologies to ensure their interests and requirements are represented.
