It is with a great disappointment that we announce the cancellation of the 2020 NAGARA Annual Conference, scheduled to be held in Denver, Colorado this coming July.
From the beginning of the COVID-19 pandemic, the health and safety of all NAGARA members and our conference attendees has been of the utmost importance to us. We have been closely monitoring the situation regarding COVID-19 since early March, and based on the information gathered to date, made the hard determination that cancellation was in the best interest of both our members and association.
We realize that all of you are disappointed, especially the Annual Conference Program Committee and Host Committee, led by Chris Magee and Sara Frey, respectively, our 40+ session and workshop presenters, and dozens of volunteers and staff who have been working since the close of last year’s event to bring you an ever bigger and better conference experience in Denver. But cancellation is the right decision, and we know our NAGARA family is resilient and understanding.
In place of this year’s Annual Conference, NAGARA will be hosting a 2020 Summer Online Forum in late July (final date and program information to follow shortly).
Thank you for your support and understanding as we do our very best to navigate through this unprecedented public health challenge.
If you have any questions, please feel free to reach out to NAGARA at firstname.lastname@example.org or by calling (202) 508-3800.
