Session 1: "Winning Over the Chiefs – Your Invitation to the Table"


OVERVIEW: Getting the proverbial “seat at the table” isn't easy. When you get there to pitch your Records or Archives initiative, you must speak directly to the target audience - the Agency Head, CIO, CFO, General Counsel, Dean, or other chief operating officer – just to name a few. Knowing how they think and using their jargon will increase the likelihood they will better understand the value of your message and the initiative that you painstakingly crafted won't be dead on arrival. Don't let a workplace language barrier undermine your hard work!

This session will help you uncover the motivations of the other stakeholders at the table and provide methods for framing your message in a way that gets their attention and compels them to take action.
