Overview: In this 201 webinar, presenters we provide an update on a project with the Illinois State Archives to test the capacity of predictive coding software tools to support archivists and records managers in sorting through large volumes of email. The project is generously funded by NHPRC and is also expected to make publicly available archival email from the governor’s office.
Learning Objectives:
- Gain a high-level understanding of predictive coding as its use in e-Discovery tools
- Understand how predictive coding tools may support a Capstone approach to archival appraisal of digital content
- Understand how human factors play a role in the success or failure of predictive coding tools when applied to archival appraisal.
