Date & Time: Thursday, October 5, 2017 | 1PM - 2PM EST
Themes: Archives | Outreach | Public Programming
Overview: Archivists must take the lead in sharing information about their collections with the general public and government staff. Programs can range from simple coffees for government staff to more elaborate exhibits and symposiums and publications. Government archives of all sizes should have an outreach plan which builds on strengths of the collection and skills of staff members. Just in time for Archives month, Kaye Minchew will lead a discussion about keeping your archives in eyes of the public and in the minds of government officials.
