WEBINAR: Building Local Government Collections

This portion of the session will detail the process of archival review and appraisal of records created by a government entity and those donated by the public. Local government records on short legal retention could have the potential to frame permanent records in the context of their creation and thus merit preservation. Building a historical narrative can also be achieved by soliciting materials from the public, broadening the viewpoint of municipal events or projects.
