Overview: Professional literature encourages records managers and archivists to “get a seat at the table” to share their expertise with other stakeholders, and to ensure that their interests are addressed on a particular topic. However, which tables should we be sitting at? What is our role at each table? What unique knowledge do we contribute? How do we get in the room? What should we do if someone does not want to let us in? NAGARA's 2019 Spring Online Forum will look at 5 tables: selling senior management, moving records, social media, security/privacy, and digital preservation. Speakers will share their experiences and lessons learned with getting a seat, their contribution to the initiative, and the outcomes of the initiative.
Please join NAGARA as we wrap up Records and Information Management Month with an informative look at these important issues.
