Announcing the Two NAGARA Internship Program Winning Institutions!

December 5, 2019

The NAGARA Internship Subcommittee is proud to announce the two institutions selected to participate in NAGARA's inaugural Internship Program: the Greene County (OH) Records Center and Archives and the Seattle (WA) Municipal Archives!

Fourteen institutions submitted applications and proposals for consideration by the Internship Subcommittee, and although many were well written and thoughtful, the subcommittee found that the two winning institutions had feasible projects with clear outlines of scope, reasonable responsibilities, and duties of the student that could be accomplished in the 120-hour time allotment.

The subcommittee wishes to thank all the institutions who applied this year and hope that those not selected will consider submitting a project proposal next year.

Students who are interested in applying for an internship with either the Greene County (OH) Records Center and Archives and the Seattle (WA) Municipal Archives are encouraged to visit the NAGARA website for more information about the program and intern selection criteria. Students will be able to apply for an internship between January and March 2020. More information will be forthcoming.

CONGRATULATIONS again to these two winning institutions!
