COVID-19 and the 2020 NAGARA Annual Conference

The National Association of Government Archives and Records Administrators (NAGARA) recognizes there are great concerns about the novel coronavirus (COVID-19) and what it may mean for the association and the 2020 NAGARA Annual Conference scheduled this summer in Denver, Colorado. NAGARA is dedicated to providing a safe and healthy space for its members, staff, and government archives and records management professionals at large.

At this time, the 2020 NAGARA Annual Conference will proceed as planned.

The health and safety of all NAGARA conference attendees is of the utmost importance to us. To that end, we will continue to monitor the situation closely and base all decisions as to whether to proceed or cancel this year's conference on advice from local and national health officials.

We want to reassure you that we are proactively thinking through any and all scenarios to continue to deliver excellent professional development experiences to our community. We recommend following the recommendations from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, local and state public health authorities, and your primary care physician on how to keep yourself healthy.

Thank you for your support and understanding as we do our very best to navigate through this unprecedented public health challenge.

If you have any questions, please contact NAGARA Executive Director Johnny Hadlock.
