(Washington, D.C.) – The National Association of Government Archives and Records Administrators (NAGARA) is thrilled to announce the organization has reached a new and historic membership milestone with the addition of its 1,000th member! NAGARA's membership has quadrupled since the fall of 2016, and today marks an historic moment in the association's 35-year history.
The honor of becoming NAGARA's 1,000th member belongs to Mr. Daniel R. Ray, Security Classification Specialist at the Institute for Defense Analyses. This honor comes with an additional year of complimentary membership. CONGRATULATIONS, Dan!

NAGARA, established in 1984, is proud to be the only organization in America focused solely on supporting and championing the government archives and records administration profession at all levels of government.

The association offers members a plethora of membership benefits, including free monthly webinars, access to a valuable Resource Library, networking and information sharing through the association's CommunityChat Forums, an industry specific jobs board with career-enhancing opportunities, and access to regular training and professional development opportunities through seasonally held Regional and Online Forums and an Annual Conference.

NAGARA is deeply grateful to our members for their continued support, and reaffirms our commitment to remain focused on serving and meeting the needs of government archivists and records managers across North America for years to come!
Thank you! Onwards and upwards!
