NARA to Host March 31st Webinar on New Strategic Plan

03/20/2014 2:19 pm

The National Archives and Records Administration has finalized its new strategic plan  for the period 2014-2018. Archivist of the United States David Ferriero invites colleagues outside NARA to learn more and ask questions, during a Strategic Plan Briefing and Q & A webinar On Monday, March 31, from 2:00 to 3:00 pm Eastern Time.

Many of NAGARA’s members provided thoughtful suggestions on the draft plan when it was released for public comment last June. Those comments, questions and suggestions, as well as those of NARA staff, were factored into the final plan. According to NARA, the plan is simple and direct.  It does not go into the details of every initiative, but instead provides four major orienting goals that will help readers understand the value of NARA’s work and be able to explain it clearly to others.
