NASCIO -- Representing Chief Information Officers of the States: Publications and Resources
The National Association of State Chief Information Officers (NASCIO), which represents the chief information officers (CIOs) of the states, has released the first of a three-part series on records management and digital preservation. The first report in this series deals with the principles of records management, and highlights the most significant challenges facing the states. Digital Preservation Network
The Digital Preservation Network is dedicated to forging a community of practitioners who are focused on the issues of preserving the digital records and publications of government. This online forum will be a repository for the exchange and discussion of ideas, research, strategy and documents that can be used by other practitioners in their organization. The Center for Technology in Government (Albany, NY) "works with government to develop information strategies that foster innovation and enhance the quality and coordination of public services."
