August 2019 - Managing Change for Positive Outcomes

Overview: Lessons and encouraging stories from a lifetime of slowly learning how to embrace unsettling but inevitable changes at the workplace.

After a brief introduction of the general challenges of managing change positively, Ellison shares a variety of challenges. In particular, he focuses on the stresses of moving: a records database migration (the core of the presentation), and a change of work environments. He broadly addresses the challenges of digital change, while his focus is on how to encourage one another with the good repercussions of responding to change in a positive way.

Change often IS difficult.  How can we progress more quickly through the reluctance to change, to the appreciation of its benefits despite the challenges and losses that may accompany the change?

Viewers of this webinar will learn about the obstacles to anticipate and how to be proactive in keeping the main goal foremost – whether it is during a change of your electronic document management system, or a move of your workspace from one building to another. This webinar is a “take-this-idea-home” type presentation, useful to anyone alive in today’s world of change, but especially focused on making a difference for those who are facing a records data migration.
