 OVERVIEW: Planning the strategy to transition to electronics records management is essential, you will never hit a target if it’s not front and center in everything you do with RIM. This webinar presentation discusses the key milestones that ultimately led to a successful proposal for the Saint Louis Zoo’s Animal Care Division to purchase an electronic document management system (EDMS), automate workflows and repositories, and take an inside view of the successful deployment current day.

Rae Lynn Haliday

Rae Lynn Haliday, MBA, CRM/CIGO, FAI, holds a BS in Business Management and an MBA, earned her designation as a Certified Records Manager (CRM) in 2003 and her Certified Information Governance Officer’s credential in 2021. She has worked in the zoological profession for the past 39 years, and for Saint Louis Zoo since 1991. She has oversight for the Registrar Department which includes animal records management, logistics, wildlife permits and compliance. Rae served a collective 8 years on the ICRM Board of Regents and chaired the Chairman of its Strategic Alliance Committee (SAC) for 7 years. She has been a member of ARMA International since 1995 and was awarded its Company of Fellows in 2022.  Rae has been a Professional Fellow member of the Association of Zoos and Aquariums (AZA) since 1990, and is a past President of the Zoological Registrars Association (ZRA), past Chairman of its Annual Conference Committee and Professional Development Committee and has served as the ICRM Facilitator for ZRA since 2008.   As a long-tenured association leader, Rae has extensive experience in leading change in professional associations and assisting records management professionals in advancing their skills and careers through education, training, professional development and certification. Rae is a part-time adjunct professor for St. John's University and teaches its RIM course.
