"Proof of Concept: Planning Your Approach"

OVERVIEW: Planning a successful system deployment many times begins with a Proof of Concept (PoC) for archives, records management, or legislative program. A PoC allows your organization to demonstrate the feasibility and value of your proposed system and approach by:
 
  • Identifying specific use cases for managing records, clarifying roles, and defining process requirements
  • Testing and refining your approach in a practical setting before full deployment
  • Communicating findings and results to build a strong business case and ensure buy-in from management

PRESENTER: Andrea Bettger, City Records Management Analyst, City of Seattle
 

Andrea Bettger has been a Records Analyst with City of Seattle since 2002. She had previous archives and records management experience with Oregon Historical Society, Lummi Indian Business Council, and the City of Portland. Andrea has been an active member of ARMA International - Greater Seattle Chapter between 2003-2020, and served multiple roles including chapter president. She is active in NAGARA and currently serving as one of the local government representatives on the board. Andrea has a Bachelor of Arts in history from Portland State University, and Masters-in-history with emphasis in Archives and Records Management from Western Washington University.
