Issues and Awareness Committee

Defining and acting on current events facing archives, records, and information professionals.

Chair: Nick Connizzo, Independent Archivist

The role of the Issues and Awareness committee is to define and act on current events facing archives, records, and information professionals. The committee will advocate for, among other issues, sustainability, accessibility, and equity in both archival and non-permanent public records programs. They will track current events, research, and develop position statements on behalf of the organization, and actively and partner with sister organizations to enhance NAGARA’s advocacy efforts.
