TITLE: "It's Time to Move: Dispositioning & Digitizing Paper Records"

OVERVIEW: A physical move – whether it's to a larger or smaller space – presents an opportunity for records managers. Suddenly there is interest in addressing long held paper records. This is an opportunity, but also a challenge as timelines may not be flexible.

During this webinar, you will hear how one local agency took on a move impacting nearly 70 years of accumulated paper records with the goal of digitizing or dispositioning them all. Come learn how they developed an approach to the project, determined the resources needed, and what they learned along the way.

Webinar Attendees will be given specific ideas for how to move forward on a physical records clean-up project, learn how to develop a plan for records within their organization's retention parameters, and receive advice on executing a records project including training staff, working with their archivist and scanning vendor, coordinating with internal stakeholders, and staying organized along the way.
